Artificial Lift Surface Equipment

Artificial Lift Surface Equipment  is meant for monitoring and managing the oil production in the wells with the lack of natural oil pressure. It can be easily integrated within any of your extraction equipment (any type of motor, pump, etc. by any producer). Artificial Lift Surface Equipment is represented by AK01 Series Switchboard and AK06 Series Variable speed drive.

AK01 for controlling submersible motors with 600 V to 5 kV ratings.

AK01 switchboard with NEMA3/4/4X enclosure, 480 V is a reliable, safe and low cost solution for controlling ESP’s in oilfields where the supply is 380 V, with step up transformers to the ESP’s voltage.

Variable speed drive AK06 Series

VSD is a machine that is used to regulate the speed and rotational force of an AC induction motor (with constant speed). 


Motors, regulated by means of a valve or a vane as well as two-speed motors or their control by switching on or off, are inefficient tools from an energy aspect. The usage of energy in many motor applications can be reduced when the speed of the motor varies in response to the changed process conditions. Variable Speed Drives make this possible. 


In pumps, fans and compressors’ motor applications, the mechanical power needed is proportional to the fluid flow in the cube. Therefore, if we reduce the flow from 100% to 80% of the nominal value it would halve the required mechanical power. Also a lot of energy is lost in motors regulated by dampers or valves. 


The application of VSD, on the contrary, lets the motor to respond to the changed requirement of the flow, and therefore directly transforms this potential into electricity savings.

AK06, 6-pulse input, Filtered PWM output

NEMA3/4/4X enclosure, 480 V

Triol AK06 variable speed drive with 6-pulse rectifier and filtered PWM output, NEMA3/4/4X enclosure, 480 V, with system integration options for submersible pump applications. The drive provides enhanced motor performance and reliability.

Features:

  • Motor switching on/off.
  • Motor operation in the following modes: «Manual» (without automatic restart after a trip) «Automatic» with automatic restart after a trip, and «Automatic» with operation according to preset timing diagram.
  • Current optimization after reaching a preset value of the motor frequency.
  • Operation according to pre-programmed timing diagram with motor ON/OFF periods programmed separately.
  • Manual control of motor speed from UMKA-03 controller and remote control from supervisory control console.
  • Automatic change of the output frequency according to a preset timing diagram.
  • Motor acceleration and deceleration at preset rates (acceleration and deceleration ramps).
  • Motor reversal.
  • Motor automatic starting after selectable delay when the supply voltage is applied.
  • Automatic maintaining of some process parameters (pressure, current) at their set points.
  • Selectable motor starting modes: «swinging», impact start (may be used for unjamming the submersible unit), soft start with synchronization. Unjamming is done with maximum possible motor torque at low speed.
  • Continuous monitoring of motor and cable insulation resistance with tripping if the resistance drops below the threshold value.
  • Possibility of operation with decreased cable and motor resistance and fast tripping under overload conditions.
  • Measurement and indication of current parameters of submersible pump and VSD on the integrated liquid-crystal display.
  • Motor remote control, monitoring of motor parameters, uploading and downloading of protection settings through telemetering system (downhole measured equipment) via RS485 interface.
  • Recording of trip events and corresponding current parameters into the integrated nonvolatile memory.
  • Recording of modified settings into the event log with date and time corresponding to
  • such modification.
  • Outdoor light alarm system indicating the pumping unit condition (run, wait, stop).
  • Motor control with feedback from a submersible transducer.
  • Configurable integrated protections: overload/underload, current imbalance, supply voltage and DC-link voltage outside allowable limits, continuous operation at low frequency, power semiconductor overheating, operation at abnormal values of para- meters controlled by telemetering system.
  • Opening of the VSD door may be signalized to dispatching station through telemetering system (downhole).
  • Measurement of electric energy consumption.
  • Monitoring of input phase voltages. The drive is tripped or motor start is inhibited if phase-loss condition is detected.
