The AXON Type 30 Choke is available in a positive and adjustable (manual) design. The positive choke has a fixed size orifice and is used primarily in production applications. The adjustable choke has a manually operated needle or stem, which provides variable flow rates. Moreover, a visual indicator provides an indication of approximate orifice size for flow rate calculations.
Available in manual or hydraulic designs, the AXON Type 31 Drilling Choke has a standard cylindrical orifice gate and seat design. The gate and seat are solid tungsten carbide, which are reversible for two complete seal and wear areas. In addition, body configurations, gate and seat designs are interchangeable between the manual and hydraulic choke, allowing flexibility in choke and kill manifold designs.
The AXON Type 32 drilling choke utilizes two flat tungsten carbide discs with a half round cut out in each disc, available in manual and hydraulic configurations. One disc remains stationary while the other rotates, providing a variable orifice according to requirements. In addition, the lapped matting surfaces of the discs provide a positive seal when the choke is closed. Moreover, the choke control panels are available in single or dual choke operation.
Available in manual, hydraulic and electric servo motor actuation, AXON’s Chokemaster™ Drilling Choke features a modular design that can be customized to specific rig requirements, as well as adapted when these requirements evolve. This ability to configure a basic valve platform with à la carte operation selections, in addition to maintaining complete spares interoperability within the equipment fleet, allows for ultimate flexibility.
AXON’s P1/P2 Adjustable/Positive Chokes are designed for well testing and production applications. The choke’s massive stem prevents the tip to break.
AXON’s Cage Chokes are required when there is a high regulation precision. The cage/piston regulation provides a more efficient linear cv/opening compared to the stem/tip curved regulation. In addition, the Type PA/TB’s design is optimal for actuated chokes.
AXON’s Inline Choke is a straight-way choke with an optimized geometric shape that provides a cage/piston regulation with minimal turbulance in the flowline. This production features an extensive tungsten carbide cage and regular gate valves. .
